The Thunder Bay Community Economic Development Commission (CEDC) Board of Directors is pleased to welcome Samantha Finelli as its newest board member. A respected business leader with extensive experience leading large-scale operations across Northern Ontario, Samantha brings valuable expertise in strategic planning, talent development, and organizational leadership.
“We are pleased to welcome Samantha to the Board,” said Roger Souckey, Chair of the Thunder Bay CEDC Board of Directors. “Her extensive leadership experience, strong business background, and commitment to Northwestern Ontario will be valuable assets as we continue to support economic growth and opportunity throughout our region.”
Samantha is a senior retail executive with more than 20 years of leadership experience, she currently serves as Senior Director, Market Manager for Walmart Canada, overseeing 12 stores across Northern Ontario, more than 3,000 associates, and over $1 billion in annual revenue. Born and raised in Thunder Bay, she holds an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology from Lakehead University and is passionate about the continued growth and success of Northwestern Ontario.
Throughout her career, Samantha has led large-scale business operations across urban, rural, and remote communities. Her experience supporting employment growth, major capital projects, and business investment across Northern Ontario will bring valuable insight to the CEDC Board of Directors.
