🌟 Request for Proposal: Summer Company Contractor🌟
Client: Thunder Bay and District Entrepreneur Centre (part of Thunder Bay CEDC)
Project Overview:
The Thunder Bay CEDC, through the Entrepreneur Centre, is seeking a consultant to administer the Summer Company program—a provincial micro-grant initiative that provides eleven $3,000 grants to students (ages 15–29) to launch summer businesses. The program includes entrepreneurship workshops, mentorship, and ongoing support.
Scope of Work:
The selected contractor will:
- Assist in student recruitment (first-come, first-served basis)
- Organize and host 6–8 business workshops and up to 2 Market Days
- Arrange mentorship with local professionals and entrepreneurs
- Provide bi-weekly coaching sessions and oversee student activity logs
- Compile final reports and support program marketing
- Maintain knowledge of entrepreneur resources and prepare progress reports
Requirements & Budget:
- Applicants must be a registered business with experience in economic development, business administration, or related fields
- The contract runs from March 31 – October 3, 2025 (approx. 360 hours)
- Budget: $9,000
- A Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check may be required
Submission Details:
Proposals must include a work plan for program delivery and a CV/resume. Shortlisted applicants will present their work plans to the Entrepreneur Centre.
