Thunder Bay CEDC Board of Directors welcomes new Board Member

October 18, 2023 – The Thunder Bay Community Economic Development Commission (CEDC) is proud to announce the appointment of Lindsay Fenton to its Board of Directors. Lindsay Fenton, Site Managing Director for Alstom, and a Lakehead University graduate with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering, brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and a strong commitment to fostering a more sustainable future for Thunder Bay.

“We are thrilled to welcome Lindsay Fenton to our board,” said Barry Streib, Chair, CEDC Board of Directors. “Her background, experience, and enthusiasm will undoubtedly contribute to the success of our community and our journey toward successful economic development.”

Lindsay’s impressive background and expertise make her a valuable addition to the CEDC Board of Directors. She has previously served as a board member for the Northwestern Ontario Innovation Centre, dedicating her time and knowledge to the community for two terms. Lindsay is also a graduate of Leadership Thunder Bay, a program designed to develop and nurture leadership skills, having completed the program as part of the class of 2015.

With a remarkable career spanning 15 years at Bombardier, Lindsay has accumulated extensive knowledge and experience in various departments within the organization. Her journey led her to become the Head of Production for the company before her current role as the Site Managing Director for Alstom. This wealth of knowledge in the manufacturing industry, combined with her dedication to sustainability, will undoubtedly be a valuable asset to the CEDC.
